I cannot believe its already the 10th of March. Time just keeps going so fast! I feel like I just got here, but I've been here for more than a month.
I also apologise for not posting in a while. The computer has been malfunctioning as well as the internet, and I was away this weekend!
I went to Newcastle (an hour's train ride north of York) with a group of four other students to help out a Calvary that is being built up there. Kyle (the team leader) knows the pastor and his wife, and members from his home church were up there as well. However, the construction wasn't as far along as it was supposed to be, so we didn't feel like we did much. The train ride there was amazing though. In fact, it is probably the whole reason why we went this weekend--we had a divine appointment to keep. Kyle, James, Ali, Ashley, and I were looking for our seats on the train, and people were in them, so we just decided to sit in another car. We ended up sitting with this guy named Andrew, a Uni student in Manchester. We got talking, and he was so excited to hear about Christians that were "different". We love the Lord, and its not about doing stuff. We do stuff because we love the Lord, not the other way around. He was very interested in what we had to say, and asked a ton of questions. Later that night he had facebooked all of us, and on Monday night got into a very good conversation with Ali (and all of us by proxy!) and had so many more questions about what it means to believe in God.
God is so good, I just keep praying that we all continue our friendship with him and that God would continue to move in his heart! He might come to York to visit over Easter, I also pray that the guys here would just take him under their wing and that he'd continue to be open to God and ask questions.
Next week is outreach week. I'm still staying in York. Please pray for our energy, that the Lord would just open the door to reach York this week, and that Satan would not have a foothold. He's not happy about us sharing the Gospel, and he's letting us know.
